    08.Oct.12 North East recognise their Volunteers

    The North East Regional Awards - sponsored by Northern Powergrid - were held on 1st October 2012 at the Gateshead International Stadium.  It was the opportunity to celebrate all that is good in our sport, and a chance to say thank you to all the volunteers who make athletics what it is.

    After the success of the disability athletics training days before the Summer Holidays,  NOTAN in conjunction with North Tyneside Council was delighted to arrange some new sessions.

    27.Sep.12 Northern officials invited to annual conference

    The Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Northern Athletics Officials Association will be held at Cleckheaton on Sunday 28th October 2012.  This conference is free to all officials.

  • 24.Sep.12 Wallsend Harriers’ Community Evening: The Dream Makers

    Wallsend Harriers organised a Community Evening at Churchill Playing Fields (Whitley Bay) featuring a “Jessica Ennis Heptathlon” as its centrepiece. The occasion was billed as a “come-along-and-have-a-go” affair for youngsters with little or no previous experience of athletics.

    19.Sep.12 Final NOTAN QuadKids competition proves a hit

    On 1st September the final NOTAN QuadKids Competition of the series was held at Churchill Playing Fields, Whitley Bay. A total of 97 entries over the series made for an exciting competition. We had great support from volunteers, parents and officials to make it a successful day.

    03.Sep.12 Olympics Officials join the party at NOTAN QuadKids

    The competition is really heating up with only one competition left. With the huge success of the Olympics and the Paralympics starting this week the final competition this Saturday should be a great atmosphere.
    Come down and have a go at a run, jump, throw and sprint.
