With less than four years until the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games, we are set with a unique opportunity and challenge to seize the moment and develop a lasting legacy for the sport in England. This work will focus particularly on supporting and developing a network of effective and resourceful coaches, clubs and volunteers. We are now seeking a high quality Club & Coach Support Officer for the South Yorkshire and Humberside area to help us turn the vision into reality.

18.Jun.09 Let the games begin…Bradford City Run is launched
Elite athlete Jo Wilkinson, the Bradford Bulls and the Cougars joined pupils from Greengates Primary School Athletics Club to launch the new ten-mile ‘Bradford City Run’ to be held in the city centre on Sunday 18th October 2009. Council leader, Kris Hopkins was on hand to wave the starting flag.

21.May.09 Coaches and athletes reap benefits of BMC course
England Athletics and the Endurance Group supported a number of North East Coaches attending the Sheffield BMC course. Both the Coaches and their athletes reaped the benefits of the training event.

Frank Dick will be the guest speaker and workshop tutor, and Jeff Brown from BBC Look North will be hosting a question and answer session with a number of high performance coaches.
