The Stockport Sports Awards Dinner was held on Friday 23rd April 2010. Two of the awards were presented to Athletics representatives who will go forward to the Greater Manchester Sport Awards later this year.

16.Apr.10 England Athletics' award increases schools' opportunities

England Athletics have awarded Ribble Valley Athletics Club a grant of £500 to assist in developing links between the club, schools and the local community. The funding will primarily support a new project to increase athletics activity for children in the local area.
12.Apr.10 NW Combined Events workshop a huge success!

Over 140 athletes and 50 coaches attended the 2009/10 North West Combined Events Development days. The sessions provide a safe environment to develop knowledge of combined events for new or experienced athletes and coaches.
