  • 27.Oct.10 Cheshire coaches and athletes pass on their skills

    On the 9th October 2010, Cheshire Athletics Network hosted another successful event; a Coach and Athlete Development Day. The day was to help coaches and athletes to develop to open their minds to non-traditional athletics events such as aqua-jogging, pilates and gymnastics.

  • 25.Oct.10 NW javelin coaches have a ball

    The North West played host to the first of the winter's javelin LCDP coach development programme.  The day saw 16 coaches and 10 athletes attend the medicine ball and gym ball session that was led by Shelley Holroyd and Bob Welfare, who are both mentees on the National Coach Development Programme.

  • 19.Oct.10 North West LCDP is off to a flying start!

    The first two workshops got the North West LCDP (Local Coach Development Programme) off to a flying start! The first was the Endurance conference which took place on 3rd October and two weeks later saw the launch of the sprints and hurdles sessions at Sportcity.

  • 15.Oct.10 North West Regional Awards evening

    The North West has a rich heritage of athletics, both in terms of athletes competing for England and Great Britain, but also the success of the clubs and the army of volunteers who run them. The evening was celebration of the support within the region over the last 12 months and also the success of the awards winners.
