Endurance sessions for coaches and athletes held by David Turnbull the England Athletics Area Coach Mentor for endurance in the North West in Stockport are building momentum. And more coaches and athletes are being invited to get involved.

The first regional combined events day, organised by Roger Devlin was a huge success with over 50 athletes and 20 coaches in attendance. Coaches and athletes are being invited to attend the rest of this series of events.

England Athletics North are sad to say goodbye to Juni Swift, Club and Coach Support Officer for Merseyside, Lancashire, and the Isle of Man. She is relocating Down South as her partner has secured a job in Cambridge.

Greater Sport, the Greater Manchester Sports partnership is joining forces with Dame Kelly Holmes to host a two day backing talent scheme. The days are aimed at talented athletes in the North West who have been selected to develop in the wider aspects of their athletic performance, and help them understand what it takes to be a world class performer.
