  • 29.Sep.10 Successful Introduction to Y&H LCDP

    The introduction to the Y&H Local Coach Development Programme (LCDP) took place on 26th September in Leeds - attracting 23 coaches.  The day involved an introduction to the whole programme that outlined England Athletics' mission and priorities providing a consistent message for coaches.

  • 24.Sep.10 Y&H Endurance Programme announced

    The first Endurance session of the winter will take place on Saturday 2nd October in Leeds.  Led by Brian Scobie with guest speaker Peter Elliott, this workshop will provide coaches with planning principles to enable them to plan the winter programme

    20.Sep.10 S Yorkshire Network will run Youth Development Coaches Workshops

    The South Yorkshire Network have organised a series of Coach Development Workshops specifically targeted at coaches of junior athletes. Workshops include Fundamentals of Movements, strength and conditioning, nutrition, psychology and combined events with a focus on Sportshall, QuadKids and Athletics 365.

    The Humber Athletics Network have organised a series of Coach Development Workshop specifically targeted at Road Running Coaches from across the Humber region.

    13.Sep.10 Y&H Local Coach Development Programme

    The first Local Coach Development Programme session of the winter will take place on  26th September in Leeds, covering Speed-Throws-Jumps.  This first session is one of four; the others concentrating on Nutrition, Psychology, and Event Specific Workshops for all disciplines.

    North Yorkshire Athletics network ran an Aviva Startrack scheme at York St John University, signpositng 27 young attendees - aged 8 to 15 years - to City of York AC, many showing real potential.
