31.May.11 NYAN to host Introduction to QuadKids & Super8 Workshop
The North Yorkshire McCain Athletics Network will be hosting their next coach development workshop on Tuesday 12th July. The workshop will provide an introduction and explanation of QuadKids and Super8, and how they can be easily implemented within club training sessions.

26.May.11 Successful Endurance Flying Coach visit at Harrogate Harriers & AC
Harrogate Harriers & AC, a member of the North Yorkshire McCain Athletics Network, hosted an Endurance Flying coach session, which 12 coaches attended.

25.May.11 Ilkley Harrier's Junior Volunteer Training Programme
Over the last few years several of Ilkley Harriers' older juniors have helped out at the athletics sessions each week. At the end of 2010 the club decided to give all these junior volunteers the opportunity to gain a 'real' qualification that would not only be useful on a CV but also provide leadership skills for everyday life.

20.May.11 New Running Club growing every week
Team Manvers Triathlon Club, a member of the South Yorkshire McCain Athletics Network, launched their new running section of the club. With a lot of publicity and promotion prior to the 3rd and many locals signing up their interest, it looked to be meeting a need within the community.

14.May.11 Evening with Sharon Gayter interesting and motivational
The North Yorkshire McCain Athletics Network in conjunction with Sweatshop held an evening with Sharon Gayter to allow runners and coaches to come and listen to Sharon speak about her career.

10.May.11 University students organise official Keighley opening
Saturday 14th May sees the official opening of the athletics track and associated sports facilities at the newly-built University Academy Keighley. The day has been organised by students from Leeds Carnegie University as part of their Sports Business and Sports Development degree course.
