09.May.11 South Yorkshire Network and their partners team up for Volunteering Initiative

In the South Yorkshire Network some great work has been done to recruit some new young volunteers into Athletics. The network has established links between Hallamshire Harriers and Sheffield Academy of Young Leaders, providing opportunities for young volunteers to help deliver coaching at clubs.
06.May.11 Going for Gold in the Olympic Year with Gold Challenge!

Take on as many Olympic and Paralympic sports as you can by the end of 2012 and help to raise money for grassroots athletics via StreetGames! Participants can take part in 5, 10, 20 or 30 sport challenges – in the case of Athletics, participants can take part in a local endurance or track and field team challenge.
05.May.11 New resources for Run England group leaders

New resources for registered Run England group leaders, including those operating from clubs and Networks are now available to help them run and publicise their group. These include new Run England versions of important documents such as disclaimer forms.
01.May.11 Essex Network Volunteer Workshop is great success

Volunteers from clubs and partners within the Essex McCain Athletics Network came together to hear about the successes and challenges of the Newham McCain Athletics Network in successfully increasing the number of volunteers available.
