    Avon, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire recently held a series of workshops delivered by Dave Rowland (NCM Physical Preperation) and Tim Snowdon (Avon Network Coordinator). The workshops looked at Physical Preparation, and Working With Young Athletes.

    Zoe Derham added a metre and a quarter to her own Championship Best Performance when the UK ‘s Number One female hammer thrower achieved a season’s best distance of 66.89 metres at the Midland Counties Championships at the Alexander Stadium.

    This weekend we are looking forward to our National U23 and U20 championships.  The U20 match doubles as the trials for the World Junior Championships to be held next month in Canada and the U23s will be using the event as vital preparation for next week’s European Trials and UK Championships as well as our National Senior championships on 17-18th July.

    Lord Sebastian Coe visited Bradford's Lister Park yesterday to show his support for QuadKids.  QuadKids has already received the support of English athletics legends Dean Macey and David Hemery, and Lord Coe was passionate in adding his own support.

    14.Jun.10 Schools Super8 event precursor to National Champs

    A Super8 event will be taking place on the 17th July at Gateshead Stadium as a precursor to the National Senior Championships, running from 10am to noon.  Super 8 is a team based competition where each athlete participating will complete in one track, one field and one relay.
