    A project to encourage more school based throwers to join an athletics club has recently started in Kent. Level 3 coach Dave Fox will be attending several schools athletics events this summer and providing a throws specific induction programme for identified school based athletes.

    Athletes from West Midlands clubs were in record breaking form and bagged an impressive seven victories at the England Athletics Aviva under 23 and Under 20 Track and Field Championships at the Bedford International Stadium.

    The International Youth Challenge in Sauze d’ Oulx was a tremendous success in terms of providing the experience of championship preparations for the 16 and 17-year-old youngsters from around Europe. The quality of performance bodes well for the future of mountain running.
