01.Dec.11 Paralympic star of the future wins Gloucestershire award
The coach of Scott Jones, a young thrower at Cheltenham Harriers, contacted Disability Support Officer Job King for information and advice following an illness that affected Scott’s strength and coordination of his dominant throwing side. Scott has now been classified and recently won Gloucestershire Disability Sports Person of the Year.

Promoted by the Avon Athletics Network, a workshop entitled "Sprints Coaching for Athletes with Cerebral Palsy" is open to all coaches and teachers interested in sprints training and racing. It is also open to athletes aged 11+ years and classifications T35-T38 with their coach.

The hard work of two Duchy Athletics Network clubs and two of its members was recognised at the 2011 Cornwall Sports Awards, with over 200 attendees from across Cornwall; including special guest Team GB athlete Mark Lewarne.
