Five-time Olympic Gold medalist, Sir Steve Redgrave, has unveiled a new way for people to become sporting heroes in South London and Surrey. Our greatest Olympian, has joined forces with Sport England, PRO-ACTIVE London and Active Surrey to launch Sport Makers, a programme for everyone who’d like to make sport happen.

Precision Athletics ran another free EDM "Play Day" this weekend which enabled 19 officials to become more familiar with the Electronic Distance Measuring equipment and procedures, allow officials to discuss and share ideas, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and bacon butties.

Clubs in the Oxfordshire McCain Athletics Network have been using a new idea to use membership forms to recruit volunteers. Five clubs in the network have used the idea and some are starting to see the results.

Ashford Leisure Trust is running a seven week coaching course for young people (aged 14 to 25 years) with a disability. The weekly sessions will provide an introduction to the sport of athletics and activities will include running, jumping and throwing.
