    25.Apr.12 Lots of fun at NOTAN Try Athletics Festival

    NOTAN held a Try Athletics Festival to celebrate 100 days to the Olympics and promote local clubs. Despite the rain trying to turn people away, around 40 people came and had lots of fun. Vic Voltage, CE Electric Mascot, made an appearance encouraging the junior athletes.

    25.Apr.12 Pendle AC attract new members with Try Athletics Event

    Pendle AC staged their Try Athletics Event on 16th April and had 30 people take part in the evening’s activities. The club decided to combine the event with a normal club night session to allow the new comers to see what goes on at the club and join in the action.

    25.Apr.12 Croydon Harriers’ Try Athletics Event a success for all

    Croydon Harriers marked the 100 days to go milestone on 16th April with their event featuring taster sessions in variety of activities. In attendance were 30 athletes from 11 year olds up to adults and they all had 25 minute sessions in hurdles, pole vault, sprinting, throws and long jump.

    25.Apr.12 Ivanhoe Robins Junior Athletics Club mark 100 days to go

    The rain held off and the Robins opened up their doors on Saturday 21st April to give their local community the chance to try some athletics. The club made full use of the weather and had activities taking place both inside and out to give people the chance to try lots of different events.

    24.Apr.12 Mini Bees swarm around Olympic Legend

    On April 21st The Bees Academy held a special event for the Academy’s Mini Bees, aged between 5 – 8 years old, at the Norman Park Athletics Track, Hayes Lane, Bromley to mark the "100 Days To Go" until the start of the 2012 London Olympic Games.

    20.Apr.12 Bingley Harriers – Try Athletics Day

    Bingley Harriers held their first outdoor training session at Beckfoot School following on from the indoor winter sessions. The training was advertised as the England Athletics ‘Try Athletics Day’ and the club welcomed some new attendees wanting to try athletics.
