Once again there were a number of new and exciting athletes taking part in the London Mini Marathon, including some through P2P, England Athletics' Playground to Podium initiative designed to identify and nurture disabled young people with the potential to be elite athletes.

25.Apr.12 Lots of fun at NOTAN Try Athletics Festival
NOTAN held a Try Athletics Festival to celebrate 100 days to the Olympics and promote local clubs. Despite the rain trying to turn people away, around 40 people came and had lots of fun. Vic Voltage, CE Electric Mascot, made an appearance encouraging the junior athletes.

24.Apr.12 North Yorkshire Under 15 Boys win National Sportshall Final
After attending trials between October and January organised by the North Yorkshire Athletics Network to be part of the North Yorkshire team, the Under 15 boys went on to win the regional finals and secured their place in the UK Sportshall finals held on Saturday at the NEC.

24.Apr.12 North West networks take a Journey to Success
Over 100 coaches and athletes attended the first ever North West Athletics Network Conference held at Sportcity on Sunday 25th March 2012. Delegates were able to attend workshops with top coaches and treated to keynote speaker Katharine Merry.

20.Apr.12 Birmingham Athletics Network – High Jump Workshop
Following the result of a requirement identified by the England Athletics CCSO, National Coach Mentor for High Jump Graham Ravenscroft delivered a High Jump Development workshop entitled Basics through to Top Performer.
