The England Athletics Disability Action Plan launched in December 2010 outlines a goal to support clubs to actively recruit and appropriately integrate athletes with different needs and impairments, and provide quality athletics opportunities.

03.Apr.11 157 British Athletes to compete at Special Olympics in Greece
After 4 years of dedicated training and competing, 157 learning disabled athletes from England, Scotland and Wales have qualified to represent Great Britain at the world's largest multi-sports event in 2011: The Special Olympics World Summer Games, in Athens.

02.Apr.11 Lea Valley Athletics network holds second disability workshop
The Lea Valley Athletics network held its second disability workshop, following on from the very well received event last autumn. Due to demand, this workshop was open to officials and team managers, as well as coaches, and everyone who attended found the evening useful and informative.
