England Athletics and StreetGames are delighted to announce a new initiative to help bring athletics to young people in disadvantaged communities. A new activators' course to train people on how to deliver community based athletics competition has been developed by England Athletics in partnership with StreetGames, Sportshall Athletics and QuadKids.

12.Feb.10 Talent Introduction Day for aspiring paralympic athletes
UKA are holding a Talent Introduction Day for aspiring paralympic athletes in Watford. This is an opportunity for new athletes to come and try the sport of athletics and existing athletes to develop their skills. There will be expert coaches leading the sessions and opportunities for athleties to learn more about training and technical elements of their events.

09.Feb.10 Lee Valley to host Progressive Endurance Coaching for Teenage Runners session
A coach development session in which experienced and highly successful Level 4 Coach Geoff Williams will discuss approaches to training, motivating and retaining young distance runners will be held at Lee Valley on 3rd March.

The Virgin Mini London Marathon will be held on Sunday 25th April 2010. The Teams to represent the West Midlands Region of England Athletics will be selected in the next few weeks.
