06.Oct.10 First day of athletics sees great start to the action!
The first day of athletics in Delhi saw an exciting beginning to the competition. Two finals were contested today – the men’s 5000m, and the F32-34/52/53 women’s Shot Put. There were also a number of important qualifiers for the sprinters and heavy throws, with nearly all our athletes getting through the qualification rounds successfully.

Three days before she began her journey to represent England in the Steeplechase in Delhi, Tina Brown provided tangible evidence that she is healthy and in good shape by recording the fastest performance at the Midland Women’s Four Stage Road Relay at Sutton Park.
