    The Wirral Athletics Sports Project is a newly formed Athletics club focusing on the Sportshall and QuadKids models of competition.  The club has been set up in South Wirral and is for young people aged between from 8 and 14 years.

    Manchester Harriers & A.C. Summer Holiday Athletics celebrated their seventh year of staging the AVIVA ACADEMY STARTRACK Sessions and they are getting more popular every year.

    09.Aug.10 High Jump Flying Coach visit inspires coaches

    Norma Harris – a Hertfordshire County McCain Athletics Network coach based in Stevenage – paid a flying visit to Parliament Hill Fields Athletics Track (home of Highgate Harriers) on the evening of Friday 30th July.  The visit was funded by England Athletics in association with the North London McCain Athletics Network and covered the Fundamentals of High Jump.

    It is time to show appreciation for the people who make our sport happen - the volunteers. Get your nominations in for the people at your club, your coach or those in your community who make a difference to our sport!

  • 02.Aug.10 Ashford AC Throws Summer School success

    A project to encourage more school based throwers to join an athletics club is proving a success.  Several young athletes attended a second taster coaching session led by Dave Fox, a L3 throws coach and Mark Chapman, the Kent Throws Development & Monitoring Co-ordinator.
