    23.Jul.10 Bromley enjoys inaugural QuadKids event

    On 14th July, Kelsey Park Sports College in Beckenham hosted the inaugural QuadKids event for Year 3 and 4 pupils. 120 pupils from 15 local primary schools were given the opportunity to participate in 4 individual events: 50m Sprint, 400m Run, Mini Vortex Howler Throw and Standing Long Jump plus a relay involving all the children.

  • 22.Jul.10 Birmingham youngsters meet Olympians

    Olympic champion Denise Lewis joined forces with Paralympic bronze medallist Ade Adepitan to bring the curtain down on Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week in Birmingham.  As well as the presence of Lewis and Adepitan – who won wheelchair basketball bronze in Athens in 2004 – the Birmingham youngsters were also greeted by London 2012 Paralympic mascot Mandeville.

  • 20.Jul.10 East Midlands athletes produce a nap hand of English Schools' titles

    Teenagers from the East Midlands more than held their own when 1,800 of the best young athletes from every part of this county were in action at the Aviva English Schools' Track and Field Championships held at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.

  • 20.Jul.10 Tom Guy and Feron Sayers Crowned English Schools' Champions

    Even though they found it more difficult than usual to get onto the gold standard, athletes from the West Midlands nevertheless accumulated seventeen medals when the AVIVA English Schools' Track and Field Championships returned to the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.

    20.Jul.10 Suffolk Essex McCain Athletics Network host QuadKids event

    On Tuesday 13th July, the Suffolk Essex McCain Athletics Network hosted their first QuadKids competition. Athletes from Hadleigh Hares, Stowmarket Striders and Holbrook Harriers took part in the event, which provided a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to compete in a fun and exciting new competition format supported by England Athletics.

  • 16.Jul.10 Chelmsford AC Athletes Excel at English Schools

    Chelmsford Athletic Club finished the English Schools' Athletics Championships with 8 individuals from the club becoming English Schools' Champions – a truly amazing feat and probably never equalled by another club in the history of the English Schools' Championships.
