A series of Coaching Endurance workshops have been organised for Level 2 and above coaches to come together and discuss specific coaching issues and coaching methods. The sessions will be led by Level 3 endurance coach and tutor Peggy Wiseman and senior coach education tutor Viv Matthews.

Organisers of the 2010 Bath Half Marathon have launched a special training course, in association with the England Athletics ‘Run in England’ scheme, so that athletes can learn the best ways to pass on their knowledge and tips to many others who are perhaps a little apprehensive about how to prepare for their first ever event.

It is the policy of the English Cross Country Association, backed by England Athletics, to send teams to International Cross Country events to help athletes to develop and gain experience of travelling and competing against good quality athletes from other Countries. The ECCA and England Athletics are pleased to announce this winter's fixtures.

England Athletics Club of the Year Newham and Essex Beagles continued on their run of success at the weekend by winning the Nike National AAA Men's 6 Stage Road Relays Championships at Sutton Park, and beating the standing course record too.

Sri Chinmoy, the inspiration behind the Self Transcendence Races has a saying that “age is not a barrier”. 76 year old Geoff Oliver proved that in exemplary fashion at the weekend by setting two World and four British Records for his age group.
