A Pole Vault event will be held on Friday 2nd March, organised by South Surrey Athletics Network and hosted by Guildford and Godalming AC. Speaking will be Tarzem Shoker who has a thriving Pole Vault group at Guildford. He will lead discussions on the Pole Vault DVD by Rick Suhr.

No Cornish Pasties I’m afraid, but a dish fit for runners at the Duchy Athletics Network ‘Nutrition workshop’ held on 7th February, 2012. Nutrition is not necessarily overlooked in an athletes training programme but it may not always be utilised in the best way to optimise performance.

The number of junior members has been rising steadily at Blaydon H & AC since the summer and the cold weather and dark nights of winter appears to have done little to dampen the enthusiasm of the young athletes.
