England Athletics are looking to develop athletics in Sheffield by using the newly designed Athletics PopUpArena to help give athletes of all ages and ability the chance to experience competing at a venue which can mirror the big competition venues on a smaller scale.

We are pleased that we are now able to announce the names of all the Regional Awards winners for the South East of England. The 2010 England Athletics National Awards programme sees volunteers recognised for their contributions in supporting the development of the sport.

15.Oct.10 North West Regional Awards evening
The North West has a rich heritage of athletics, both in terms of athletes competing for England and Great Britain, but also the success of the clubs and the army of volunteers who run them. The evening was celebration of the support within the region over the last 12 months and also the success of the awards winners.

14.Oct.10 Lea Valley Network set up Race Walking Training Days
A number of winter training sessions for new and experienced race walkers will be held at Lee Valley Athletics Centre over the winter.

13.Oct.10 First runbritain Race Director Course ready to go
The first runbritain Race Director Course (accredited level) pilot in England will take place next month and will be delivered by England Athletics Board members Nigel Rowe and Graham Jessop.
