    England Athletics' U20s team have accepted the invitation to compete at the Celtic Cup in February to defend their title after a blistering performance by the England U20 team at the event last year.

    England Teams dominated the Gateshead International Cross Country event which incorporated the first of the McCain's Cross Series.  England teams swept the board on a wet day with some testing conditions.

    12.Nov.09 Newham passes the Commonwealth Games baton on

    The Commonwealth Games baton come to the site of the 2012 Olympic stadium, and to the track at Newham for the "athletics" day of the Queen’s Baton Relay.  It was a chance for local athletes and athletics celebrities Tessa Sanderson and Christine Ohuruogu to share in this symbol of the next Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

    12.Nov.09 England Athletics Senior Championships for 2010 announced

    England Athletics is delighted to announce that an England Athletics Senior Championships is to be held in 2010.  There has not been an English national athletics championships for seniors since the last AAAs championships were contested in 2006. The new England Athletics Senior Championships will take place on the weekend of 17-18 July.

  • 08.Nov.09 Outstanding performances at international ultra distance debuts

    Five athletes were selected to represent England in the IAU 50km Trophy Final held in Gibraltar.  This year's race took place on a relatively hilly course on a 1 x 2km loop followed by 6 X 8 km loops, and was one of the rare opportunities where several fast 50kers from around the world have all assembled at a world event.

  • 04.Nov.09 SW Runners Win Birmingham Cross Country Challenge

    Stroud and District’s Tom Curr who won national titles at both 1500 and 3000 metres on the track this summer as well as winning the Schools International Cross Country at Bangor in March convincingly won the Men’s Under 17 race Birmingham Cross Country Challenge by almost half a minute.
