15.May.13 High standards at Great School Sprint Birmingham
The Great School Sprint Birmingham took place at the Great Barr School in Birmingham. Over 100 children took part from seven secondary Schools. The final will take place at the BT Great City Games in Manchester which will also include the first ever Great School Para Sprint competition.

08.May.13 £150million funding boost for Primary Schools
Schools will receive a funding boost of £150 million per annum for the academic years 2013/14 and 2014/2015. The money will go directly to primary school headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.

Dhoon School is a small, rural primary school with a weekly, after-school 'fitness club' for school years 3 to 6. An enthusiastic teacher called Tony Cross takes the indoor classes and local Endurance Coach Steve Partington takes the outdoor sessions.

Looking for a UK Athletics Coach to run a series of 5-6 specific Special Educational Needs Athletics sessions beginning across the city after Easter. Sessions are 1 hour after school. Some Coaching Assistant volunteers to help support in these sessions are also needed.

Stoke Newington School in Hackney is set to become home to the first compact athletics facility in the borough. The facility will be situated in the outdoor areas of the school; the existing outdoor space will be transformed into this brand new community sporting facility.
