  • South Surrey launch: 1000m start

    31.Mar.10 It's get set, go! for South Surrey McCain Athletics Network

    On Sunday 28th March 2010 - after many months of working together - the eight clubs that comprise the South Surrey McCain Athletics Network held an action-packed day hosted by Woking AC. 27 coaches and 43 athletes took part in coaching sessions conducted by David Hemery, John Davis, Erik Little and Neville Taylor.

    The England Athletics Award programme, Sponsored by Heidsieck & Co. Monopole Champagne, saw volunteers from across the North East recognised for the contribution they give to the sport.

    30.Mar.10 Hampshire Officials celebrate

    Over 60 officials attended the 6th Annual Hampshire ”Get Together” - a superb example of partnership working between Hampshire AA, the McCain Hampshire and Isle of Wight Athletics Network and Sports Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

    Billericay put in a strong performance at the final fixture of the 2009/2010 South Essex Cross Country League to take the team title.

  • 26.Mar.10 Successful weekend for the South London Athletics Network

    It was a successful weekend for the South London Athletics Network: on Saturday a combined team of youngsters from the clubs from the Network qualified at Crystal Palace to represent London in the National sportshall finals.  The following day the Network hosting their first coach and athlete development day which proved a great success.

    England Athletics and Sporting Equals are delighted to announce a new partnership to promote ethnic diversity in athletics. The two bodies will work in partnership to enlist and train athletics coaches and Run In England leaders, as well as creating resources to enable a more effective approach to achieving ethnic diversity across the sport.
