More than 2000 school athletes, 250 team managers, a hundred officials, and an estimated crowd of 5000 supporters descended upon Heaton Park, Manchester, for the Aviva English Schools' Cross Country Championships on Saturday 20th March.

The Lincolnshire McCain Athletics Network had their official launch at the weekend at Lincoln Castle which was also being used as the finishing area for the Lincoln 10k with 5000 runners participating.
