The East Midlands have selected their team for the fourth annual UK School Games, which will take place in Wales from the 3rd to 6th September. Athletics is one of ten sports which will allow youngsters from across the UK to test themselves against teenagers in their own sport whilst also giving them an opportunity to meet and form friendships with their contemporaries from other sporting disciplines.

East Midlands returned with no less than seven individual titles from the Aviva English Schools Championships staged at Sheffield’s Don Valley stadium, writes Tom McCook. The girls accomplished an impressive nap hand of victories, including a hat trick in the Senior age group, compared with a couple of wins by their male counterparts.
