25.Nov.09 Lincolnshire Throws Academy a real success!
The Lincolnshire throws academy is an opportunity to get club coaches to work and observe the specialist coaches - who include Geoff Capes, Jim Edwards and Mike Allen - giving them the knowledge and confidence to deliver coaching at their own clubs. 38 athletes and 20 coaches attend the monthly sessions organised by the Lincolnshire Athletics Network who have teamed up with the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership.

Two months after Themba Luhana and Yasmin Spencer won English Schools titles in Sheffield, the dynamic East Midlands duo added UK School Games gold medals to their growing medal collection in Cardiff. -
28.Aug.09 East Midlands announce UK School Games team
The East Midlands have selected their team for the fourth annual UK School Games, which will take place in Wales from the 3rd to 6th September. Athletics is one of ten sports which will allow youngsters from across the UK to test themselves against teenagers in their own sport whilst also giving them an opportunity to meet and form friendships with their contemporaries from other sporting disciplines.
