    England Athletics works in partnership with the AAA on a number of projects. We are able to inform you that their Annual General Meeting will take place on Sunday 11th March 2012.

    16.Dec.11 AAA Athlete Grant scheme

    The Amateur Athletic Association (AAA) has a fund which is able to support English Athletes under the age of 23 who are in full time education and active in athletics.  Applications are now welcomed.

  • World Marathon Challenge 2011 - Finish of the event

    23.Nov.11 World Marathon Challenge comes to London

    The world marathon challenge came to North London with the event being at Lee Valley for the 5th year.  The challenging simultaneous relay race in support of Save the Children, is for 11-13 year olds who will race around a track in teams of 31. Each child will run a 200m stretch six or seven times each, passing a baton to their team-mates.

    08.Nov.11 Bring back memories of a wonderful event

    This time last month, children around the world were partaking in a "simultaneous Marathon" where they ran a continuous relay trying to beat the current world record marathon times.  Save The Children have now produced a short video of over 1000 children in 40 teams across the world taking part.

    On 5th October, over 1000 children in 40 teams across the world competed in a challenging simultaneous relay race supported by Sportshall Athletics, the Amateur Athletic Association (AAA) England Athletics (in the UK) and Save the Children.

    04.Jul.11 Children around the world to take part in simultaneous relay

    Save the Children have announced that it will join with England Athletics partners the Amateur Athletics Association (AAA) and Sportshall on its inaugural World Marathon Challenge.  Over 50 children's teams are due to take part globally.
