St Mary's Endurance Performance and Coaching Centre (EPACC) - An England Athletics Coach Development Centre for Endurance - in partnership with the Virgin London Marathon (VLM) is holding Coaches Workshops on Sunday 13th March 2011. There is also an Open Day on 12th March.

The postponed (due to bad weather) South East Regional Awards Evening 2010 was compered by Area Manager Martin Beaver and prizes were awarded by Graham Jessop, Chair of the South East Regional Council and Chair of the England Council.

England Athletics has appointed Lorna Boothe as an Area Coach Mentor for hurdles and is inviting people to apply to be part of the mentoring scheme.

15.Feb.11 Officials - spaces available for EDM Play Day this Sunday
Precision Athletics are holding another EDM "play day" this Sunday in Essex. The previous free event last October proved popular with officials from all disciplines who took the opportunity to become for familar with the EDM under informal conditions.

Sprints and Jumps coaches in the South Surrey and Hampshire area attended workshops on Sunday 6th February as part of the Local Coach Development Programme in the area.

11.Feb.11 Weekend coaching action from Sussex network
The Sussex McCain Athletics Network held a third successful Coach & Athlete Development Day with 52 athletes training and over 30 coaches coaching and observing event specific sessions. All corners of the track and particularly the indoor gymnasium were full of action for 4 hours nonstop.
