23.Dec.09 Sussex hosts County Endurance Training Day
Sussex hosted a popular Endurance Training Day at Ardingly College recently. Despite the wintry conditions the event attracted over 30 coaches from Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire, including 6 coaches from the Local Coach Development Programme and 5 coaches on the Area Coach Development Programme.

The second Kent Coach and Athlete Development Day attracted nearly 60 endurance athletes and coaches. Following its success, further Kent Coach and Athlete Development Days are planned for February and March 2010.

Hampshire and Surrey's Local Coach Development Programme saw Jumps and Sprints coaches and their athletes working together last week on winter training techniques focused on long term development and performance.

24.Nov.09 Hampshire and Isle of Wight McCain Athletics Network launch
Over 80 local athletes battled wind and rain to train at the launch of the new Hampshire & Isle of Wight McCain Athletics Network. Coaches and top performing U15 and U17 track and field athletes from Hampshire and the Isle of Wight came together to take part in a County Coaching Day.

Over 80 rising stars of Athletics (U15 & U17 year olds), from all over Hampshire and the Isle of Wight will come together on Saturday 14 November to take part in a County coaching day and be coached by the County’s top 10 coaches.
