Lorraine Barlow has been awarded Volunteer of the Year at the Greater Manchester Sports Awards. The ceremony included winners in the categories of Volunteer, Coach, Sports Achiever, Disabled Sports Achiever, Club of the Year and Unsung Hero: Special Recognition Award.

Cheshire Athletics Network hosted their first event of many as a network last week, which involved 40 members of various clubs. The Wirral Athletics Sports Project is a newly formed Athletics club focusing on the Sportshall and QuadKids models of competition. The club has been set up in South Wirral and is for young people aged between from 8 and 14 years.
