Team Southampton’s committee held a dinner recently at the Hilton Hotel in Chilworth to formally thank Mike Smith, Janet Smith and Carol Dawkins for their tremendous service to Athletics in Southampton. They are all still very involved in club activities including coaching and officiating.

21.May.09 LICC meeting achieves record entries
The first round of the London Inter Club Challenge on 24 April at Barnet Copthall saw a record entry with over 370 individual performances recorded on the day. The sprints were the high point with fourteen races over 100m and twelve 200m races.

01.May.09 The Children's Mutual Tunbridge Wells half marathon wins Runners' World award!
On 23 April at the Runner's World 'Heroes of Running' Awards ceremony in London, The Children's Mutual Tunbridge Wells half marathon (2008 event) was presented with the award for the 'Most Improved Event'.
