    28.Aug.12 Summer Startrack in Ealing

    During July and August a number of Ealing Southall and Middlesex (ESM) younger athletes have played key roles in working with Active Ealing, the Borough of Ealing’s sports development team, to run three Startrack weeks at Perivale Park Athletics track.

    24.Aug.12 Birmingham Network inspires athletes at Live Site

    The Live Olympic Site in Birmingham's Victoria Square was transformed into a Live Site between 30th July and 3rd August 2012 - with seating, bunting and a marquee - making it the place to go to gather and watch live coverage of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

    23.Aug.12 South Cumbria North Lancashire Network clubs gain Club Accreditation

    Following on from a lot of hard work the clubs in the SCNL network have all gained the club Accreditation.  Kendal Amateur Athletic Club has gone through the re-accreditation process while Barrow & Furness Strides and Lancaster & Morecambe AC have gained the accreditation for the first time.

    As part of the series of 600 Community Athletics Days organised by clubs across England Amber Valley & Erewash AC held a series of Try Athletics events on Wednesday evenings which gave opportunities for those aged eight to 15 to come along and give athletics a go.

    Crowborough Runners say "Everyone can Run!" and they meant to prove it at their free Athletics Community morning event held at the weekend. 25 athletes of all ages ran 800m, 1500m or 3k.

    The national Join In programme’s Battle Bus tour included a stop at Marshall Milton Keynes Athletics Club during the weekend which saw a number of Athletics Club Community Days taking place across the country.  And Greg Rutherford was on hand to inspire his local club's youngsters.
