11-year-old Lydia Cross, the inspirational young fundraiser from North Devon who lost both legs to meningitis when she was two, will be the first person to receive a racing wheelchair through Rotary’s Wheel Appeal with the charity WheelPower.

A highly successful day for South West clubs at the Saucony Midland Road Relay.
Westbury Harriers left it late before their first ever win in the Women’s Six Stage Relay at Sutton Park. After winning the Women’s race last year, Bristol and West AC recorded their first Midland Men’s 12 Stage Relay victory in six years. -
02.Apr.12 Calne attracts runners from throughout the south west
Good weather during the setup on Saturday afternoon heralded an ideal day for the entrants of the 24th annual Rotary Club of Calne 10km. Nearly 300 runners and walkers, from as far away as Devon and Middlesex, entered the race to sample the delights of the countryside in Bowood, as well as raising money for Wiltshire Blind and Calne Welfare Charities.
