Please note that this weekend’s LCDP Speed-Jumps-Throws has been postponed due to the poor weather.
We will endeavour to reschedule before Christmas, but failing that will provide something in the New Year. -
01.Dec.10 Jumps coach gets BBC Sports Personality of the Year recognition.
England Athletics National Coach Development mentee Rick Betts has been nominated for the prestigious BBC Sports personality of the year Unsung Hero award. He is presently awaiting the results of the regional BBC North East Award where he has reached the final 3.

30.Nov.10 POSTPONED - Road Running Seminar for Clubs & Race Organisers
The Road Running Seminar due to be held on Wednesday 1 December from 6.30pm – 9pm at Durham County Cricket Ground, Chester-le-Street, has been cancelled due to weather conditions.We will reschedule it and annoucne a new date in due course.

POSTPONED DUE TO BAD WEATHER - A series of road running seminars for Clubs and Race Organisers are being held across the country and one will be held in the North East on 1 December. These events give the opportunity to find out how England Athletics, Run in England and Run Britain can help road running clubs and race organisers.

22.Nov.10 Endurance Coaches Enjoy LCDP Regional Day
Saturday 20th November saw over 25 coaches attend a biomechanics and conditioning workshop put on through England Athletics Local Coach Development Program. The coaches were put through their paces by Julie Twaddle and Duncan French, both expert coaches in the field of Physical Preparation and Strength and Conditioning.
