After the success of the 2008 Summer Sprint Series held with MCAA and the East Midlands and West Midlands Regions, it is the intention to run the series again this year with the involvement of the South West Region. The Sprint Series consists of 100m, 200m and 400m races for senior men and women.

After five barren years without a victory in this event, Tipton Harriers, who are without question the most successful club in the 33 year history of the Saucony Midland Men’s 12 Stage Road Relay in Sutton Park, recorded their 16th victory since 1977.
Another great club who were once proudly proclaimed throughout the land as the
“Kings of the Road” Coventry Godiva Harriers gave another indication of their aspiration to return to the heady days when they achieved their first appearance on the medal podium for some years taking the silver medals by half a minute from the champions for the past couple of years, Notts AC.
