  • 13.May.10 Devon T&F incorporates well attended Parallel Success programme

    The Devon Track and Field Champs this year were held on 8th May and for the first time, incorporated the AVIVA Parallel Success programme to allow disabled athletes the chance to compete and aim for IPC Qualifying Standards for the 2011 IPC World Championships in Christchurch, NZ.

    11.May.10 Children’s Great West Run Challenge

    Now in its 5th year, the Children’s Great West Run Challenge is a running programme for primary age children designed to get them regularly running for fun and fitness.  The event has grown every year; this year 25 schools and 726 children took part.

  • 07.May.10 SW Success at London Mini Marathon

    Another successful weekend at the recent London Mini Marathon saw the South West pick up both good individual and team results writes Sonya Ellis - SW Team Manager.  The senior boys' race saw the highest results with Tom Curr finishing 3rd and the team winning overall.

    04.May.10 Stunning performance by Avon youngsters to win UK title

    Despite not winning an individual event Avon's U13 Boys team won the UK Sports Hall title, beating off the challenge of 11 other Regional finalists including Birmingham who have been past winners for the last 3 years at the NEC.  A very special day which will live long in the memory for all concerned.
