Bournemouth Athletics club was privileged to welcome Liz and Martin Yelling to their Presentation Evening recently to celebrate many individual achievementsnand their awarding of Clubmark accreditation.

06.Dec.09 South West Cross-Country Championships
The South West Cross-Country Championships will take place at Bicton College, Exmouth, Devon on Sunday 10th January 2010. This event draws runners from across the South West, and incorporates an inter-county event as well as club team championships. Closing date for entries is 18th December.

Workshops on pyschology and nutrition are being held in Exeter. These are free to attend but places are limited so you must book a place in advance.

12.Nov.09 Tireless coach wins EA award for Services to Disability Athletics.
David Hatch (Moorhaven RC) who has done a huge amount to help physically and mentally handicapped people take up athletics has been recognised for his work - this year he has won the England Athletics (SW region) award for Services to Disability Athletics.

09.Nov.09 First Regional Endurance and Middle Distance training day to be held
The first of a series of England Athletics Regional Training Days will take place on Sunday 15th November at Ashton Court Estate in Bristol, starting at 11am.

04.Nov.09 SW Runners Win Birmingham Cross Country Challenge
Stroud and District’s Tom Curr who won national titles at both 1500 and 3000 metres on the track this summer as well as winning the Schools International Cross Country at Bangor in March convincingly won the Men’s Under 17 race Birmingham Cross Country Challenge by almost half a minute.
