    It has been 20 years in discussion, but prompted, supported, and pulled together over the past year by the Avon McCain Athletics Network, the clubs in the Avon area have put out their first ever U20 Composite team in the National Junior Athletics League to great effect.

    After a nail biting couple of days, Cornwall Athletic Club’s Ladies team have been confirmed as the National Marathon Champions in the Virgin London Marathon.   Naomi Tier, Emma Stallard and Suzy Bosustow all ran superbly in the recent London race, recording personal best times on a very warm day in the capital, claiming top spot on the podium.

    A new 10km road race in Plymouth is expected to attract thousands of runners and top European athletes to the city.  The Plymouth 10k on Sunday, October 2 is being launched as a stepping stone for people taking part in next year's Plymouth Half Marathon.

    06.Apr.11 What a day for Avon's young athletes

    Avon's Under 13 Sporthall teams recorded their best ever performances at the UK Final at the NEC on Sunday.  The U13 Girls excelled with a magnificent 3rd place (their best ever) and the U13 Boys emulated last year's team winning the UK title for a second successive time with a record points haul.
