    London sprint stars Laura Turner and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey stole the show on day one of the England Athletics Senior and Parallel Success Championships, winning their respective national 100m titles in lightning quick times.

    As the summer season moves into top gear the weekend ahead see’s the third of the ‘London Inter Club Challenge’ series taking place at Lee Valley athletic centre. As with the previous two LICC meetings QuadKids kicks off the programme at 9am. Mean while in Bedford the England championships are on with a stellar field entered for the national event.

    Lee Valley athletics stadium is a UK Athletics specified ‘High Performance Centre’ and it was just as well as over 100 of the best QuadKids school children in London used it as a venue for their inaugural North London Final.

    East London School Sport EventOn Friday 15th July, four year groups of Robert Clack School in Dagenham will participate in a mass fitness class, where more than 1000 students and staff will simultaneously take part in an Hour of Power workout, led by fitness guru Rajko Radovic (Hour or Power, BBC’s Last Man Standing), and ‘Amazon’ from the TV show Gladiators.

    Katie Snowden - World Youth ChampsLondons’ Katie Snowden (coached by: James McDonald)  followed up her fantastic win in the semi-final of the World Youth Championship women's 800m in Lille with a performance in the final which was again only a fraction outside her personal best placing 7th in 2:05.64 in a strong line up.
