31.Oct.12 Tunnel 2 Towers Run – remarkable remembrance of 9/11 and 7/7
The Inaugural Tunnel 2 Towers Run (T2T) London 2012 (approx 5 Km) took place on Sunday the 21st October 2012. The event began at Southwark Park in Bermondsey and went from South to North under the River Thames through the Rotherhithe Tunnel to wapping and Finished in London's Docklands in Billingsgate Market in the shadow of Canary Wharfs Towers which mirrors the event held in New York City.

29.Oct.12 London Volunteers honoured at Hall of fame Awards
Saturday evening saw London’s volunteers and unsung heroes honoured at the annual England Athletics Hall of Fame awards evening. London councillor Peter Crawshaw, who is also a representative of the Achilles club, was on hand to accept an award for Douglas Lowe, newly inducted in the 2012 ‘Hall of Fame’ for his part in creating Olympic history.
