Qualified group leader Nell McAndrew, who told Run England last week that she hoped to break three hours at the Virgin London Marathon, achieved this impressive feat and then some, finishing in a time of 2:54:39. Huntingdonshire AC have successfully renewed their England Athletics Accredited Club status. A presentation was made at a recent training session by their CCSO James Cudmore to Chair Mike Hayball and Coach Penny Butcher.

England Athletics is pleased to announce that Chris Jones, currently England Athletics' Head of Marketing and Strategy, is to take on the role of acting Chief Executive Officer from 15th May until 14th November. John Graves, who is currently England Athletics Executive Chair will continue in the role until 15th May and as Chair of the Board of England Athletics until his terms ends in the Autumn of this year.

Prospective Olympic Games field official Audrey Lewis lost her battle with cancer last Tuesday with just 100 Days To Go until the Games. Audrey was just 47 and her loss was felt throughout not only the officiating community but also by her athletes and colleagues at the World Masters Association, and within Berkshire where she lived.

21.Apr.12 New racing wheelchair for young Marathon fundraiser
11-year-old Lydia Cross, the inspirational young fundraiser from North Devon who lost both legs to meningitis when she was two, will be the first person to receive a racing wheelchair through Rotary’s Wheel Appeal with the charity WheelPower.
