The Armada Athletics Network ran a “Question of Sport” type evening with the subject being the rules of the sport. Unfortunately Sue Barker couldn’t make it so the quizmasters were Keith Reed and Paul Ross who are both National officials.

28.Jan.12 Nutrition Workshop opens people’s eyes
Martin MacDonald, consultant nutritionist who has worked with elite athletes across a number of sports delivered a 2 hour workshop to a group of coaches on the Local Coach Development Programme and their athletes.

26.Jan.12 Outstanding performances at Regional Sportshall finals
14 girls and 12 boys competed in the U11 Regional Sportshall Finals at Grantham. Sportshall athletics provides athletes with the opportunity to take part in a wide range of athletic disciplines in an indoor setting.

The North of Tyne Athletics Network (NOTAN) will be hosting a disability athletics participation and training day for the North East on Sunday 12th February for athletes with any disability.
