For almost a decade, Wolverhampton and Bilston AC (WABAC) were the UK’s Number One Men’s Track and Field team. Official recognition came recently when the club received the England Athletics West Midlands Regional Award as the Development Club of the Year for 2010.

Lorraine Barlow has been awarded Volunteer of the Year at the Greater Manchester Sports Awards. The ceremony included winners in the categories of Volunteer, Coach, Sports Achiever, Disabled Sports Achiever, Club of the Year and Unsung Hero: Special Recognition Award.

16.Dec.10 AFD athlete wins Surrey's Young Sports Personality of the Year
Fourteen deserving nominees from across the world of sport were awarded with a prestigious Surrey Sports Award, putting months of anticipation to an end. The event was hosted by Tim Durrans, BBC Surrey’s Sports Editor, and featured an address from Paralympic bronze medallist, Vicki Hansford.
