There were some exciting finishes and high quality races at the London Youth Games cross country championships held on a mild morning at Parliament Hill. Over 500 youngsters represented their London boroughs in a successful renewal of these races which were re-introduced into London Youth Games in 2010.

The Lea Valley Athletic Network (LVAN) held its second annual disability championships recently. 160 competitors from 16 different schools, clubs and colleges took part; double the entry of last year.

Lea Valley Athletics Network have sponsored a series of three Sprint Hurdles Training for Young Athletes training sessions and six 300/400 Hurdles Training Days and the second day of each both occurred on Sunday at the Centre.
