    A Throws Coaching Workshop is to be held free of charge at the Julie Rose Stadium, Ashford, Kent  TN24 9QP on 28th July 2010.  This is an opportunity for coaches of young athletes to improve their throws coaching knowledge.

  • 19.Jul.10 Reading Roadrunners celebrate Marathon victories

    Reading Roadrunners Ladies' team celebrated their England Athletics Marathon Championships victory at Palmer Park Stadium in Reading.  It is the second time in recent years that a ladies' team from Reading Roadrunners has been victorious at the England Athletics Marathon which is held in conjunction with the Virgin London Marathon.

    Hot on the heels of Berlino at the World Championships last summer, comes George the beaver, the popular mascot at Andover Athletic Club.  George has been out and about this summer, popularising the club in the local community and keeping young athletes amused at the Wessex Young Athletes League hosted by the club last weekend.

    28.Jun.10 Ashford AC throws Summer School starts

    A project to encourage more school based throwers to join an athletics club has recently started in Kent. Level 3 coach Dave Fox will be attending several schools athletics events this summer and providing a throws specific induction programme for identified school based athletes.
