    Hexham plays host to the McCain UK Combined Events Challenge and 15th annual international combined events meeting this weekend.

    06.Jul.11 Junior Beach Races 2011

    Blyth Running Club recently held their annual beach races and just under 100 children took part.  Sponsors CE Electric's mascot “Vic Voltage” was in attendance to start the races and warn the children about the dangers of electricity.

  • North of Tyne Athletics Network (NOTAN)

    25.May.11 Junior Summer Grand Prix

    Over the summer the North of Tyne McCain Athletics Network (NOTAN) are holding four Junior Athletics competitions to form a Junior Summer Grand Prix, where over each day girls and boys ages 7-13 years will compete over the four elements; individual sprint (60m - 100m), jumps (long, triple, high) throws (javelin, discus, shot) and runs (600m - 800m).

    There are a number of events to get you going in the North East this Spring.  The open Indoor pentathlon will take place in March and the outdoor championships in May.  If you prefer middle distance, the BMC are holding a series of regional races from May through to the end of August.
