  • 18.Oct.11 Reading AC athlete receives bursary from Accentuate

    15 year old Sanjana Rachel Emmanuel (Rachel) has recently been awarded a £1000 athlete bursary from Accentuate.  Rachel is one of many success stories from the national Playground to Podium (P2P) project which aims to identify and support young disabled athletes into sport.

    The sun shone down on Charterhouse School in Godalming for this years’ Playground to Podium county athlete assessment day. Children with varying disabilities were invited from schools all over Surrey to try out some paralympic sports after showing potential in their PE classes at school.
