27.Aug.09 West Midlands Team ready for the 2009 UK School Games in Cardiff
A strong team has been selected to represent the West Midlands region at the fourth annual UK School Games, which will take place in Wales from the 3rd to 6th September. Athletics is one of ten sports which will allow youngsters from across the UK to test themselves against teenagers in their own sport whilst also giving them an opportunity to meet and form friendships with their contemporaries from other sporting disciplines.

The South Staffordshire McCain Athletics Network is now up and running and has recently appointed Catherine Pendlebury as Athletics Network Coordinator.

17.Aug.09 Diet and Nutrition Workshop for Shropshire Coaches
Telford Athletics Club recently hosted a Diet and Nutrition Workshop for Coaches working with Young Athletes. Over 20 Coaches and Athletes attended the workshop representing local Clubs and the new Shropshire Athletics Coaching Academy
